Where is your Time Capsule envelope?

WITH only one week to go for the return of the envelopes for the 2070 Time Capsule I am most concerned that people have forgotten to fill and return their envelopes to the Foster Post Office.

Some people have commented to me that Covid has interfered with the completion of the envelopes while others are looking for ideas of what to include in their envelopes.  Family histories, copies of family trees, recollections of past events, family photographs of previous members of the family and present day family photos, current prices of super market items, house and car prices etc., special events attended, special achievements, use of technology past and present special holidays.

Articles from the younger generations about where they expect to be in 50 years’ time,  kids’ art work, descriptions of classroom activities, favourite teachers,  recreational activities, school reports,  moments of joy with family and friends, participation in sporting teams and personal achievements.

Current news items may make interesting reading in 50 years’ time such as the Covid Pandemic, political chaos around the world, particularly in the U.S.A. the present state of the Australian economy and politics and memories of past national events.

If you have a business or an organisation that needs history to be recorded get going now and leave your version of events for future generations to share.

Please spend some time over the next week to record your history for future generations to look back on!!!  More envelopes still available at the Foster Post Office.- Liz Hall.
