Following the damage to two local bridges when Stockyard Creek broke its banks on July 5, an independent Level 2 assessment, (organised by South Gippsland Shire Council) of the bridge at Pearl Park has determined that it is unsafe to use. Council is seeking advice regarding funding before any decisions can be made about the future of the bridge. Pedestrians can once again use the Boundary Road footpath.
