Swimming win for Waratah House

GREY skies, a cool wind and intermittent showers notwithstanding, Foster Primary School held its inter-house swimming sports at Foster pool last Friday.

Parents and teachers rugged up to run the sports, but the cold did not seem to deter the children, who competed with enthusiasm.

Eddie Smith and Karli Blunden took out the 100 metre boys’ and girls’ freestyle championships respectively and were presented with a championship medal each.

Waratah House swimmers earned a total of 322 points over Oberon with 266 and Darby 228, to take out the House Swimming Cup.

Principal Fiona Bull thanked teachers, parents and students for helping to make the day such a success, with a special thank you to teacher Mrs (Rebecca) Browne, who coordinated the day.
