Promontory Home Produce and Craft Market

THE 2010/11 Promontory Home Produce and Craft Markets season starts this weekend, with a market at Foster Showgrounds this Sunday, 31 October. – see events list

Most of the regular stallholders will be there, plus numerous new ones eager to try out the market for the first time.

“Going on booking numbers it should be bigger and better than ever!” said market coordinator Max Parnell of Foster Rotary Club.

The three service clubs (Foster Rotary, Toora Lions and Fish Creek Jaycees) have been running these markets for around 30 years, with all profits going back into the community via their various projects.

For the last 25 years entry has been $1, but as costs of running the market have increased, the entry fee this season will be $2 for adults, with children under 16 free.

That’s still a cheap day out – cheaper than a bottle of water!

Selling starts from 8am and continues to mid-afternoon. So come along, have a good day out, support the community and pick up a few bargains as well!
