Prom Coast Festival Picnic

‘PICNIC IN THE PARK’

EVERYONE loves a picnic and what’s better than a picnic in the park!  It’s a perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friends.  Food, fun and fresh air – what a great combination.

The Prom Coast Festival is holding its Picnic in the Park on the beautiful green grounds of the P. J. Wilson Reserve on Saturday March 16 to kick off a weekend festival that will cover events from Welshpool, Toora, Mt Best, Foster, Sandy Point and Fish Creek.

We’ve joined hands with the well known Farmer’s Market that will set up as usual outside the Foster War Memorial and Arts Centre in the morning.  After you’ve enjoyed all the fresh produce on sale, it’s just a small step across to the park for the picnic.

There will be food trucks with all types of goodies, the ever favourite sausage sizzle, the Hospital Auxiliary will have picnic hampers for sale, wine will be available for tasting and for sale and Red Door Estate will be pouring.

And then there’s the music! It wouldn’t be a picnic without beautiful live music and we will have some of the best bands and individual artists we could find for your listening pleasure.  Bands like Souly Us and Brodie Young will keep your toes tapping.

If you haven’t already got the date for the Prom Coast Festival in your diary, then you should pull it out now and write it in.  Saturday March 16 and Sunday March 17.  Take a look at the website to see when the fun begins and all the events you can see and/or be involved with,www.promcoast

The Committee for the Prom Coast Festival thanks the Toora and District Community Bank Bendigo Bank for their continued support of the Festival and the Picnic in the Park is only one of the events they will be sponsoring over this fabulous weekend.
