CAR ACCIDENT AT YANAKIE

POLICE are investigating the cause of a single vehicle accident on the Promontory Road at Yanakie on Monday in which a woman was lucky to escape injury. The accident happened at about 9am at the intersection of the Prom Road with Old Yanakie Road.

A vehicle being driven by a 38-year-old Melbourne woman was travelling towards the Prom when the driver lost control on a right-hand bend and her vehicle crossed over to the wrong side, left the road and rolled in the scrub. The vehicle landed on its roof, but the woman managed to emerge unscathed. She was taken by ambulance to hospital in Foster as a precaution, but she did not need to be admitted.

BIKES FOUND

POLICE at Foster Police Station are holding two bicycles. The bicycles were found in the vicinity of Foster township at different times during the last month and can be claimed upon identification by their owners.
