THIS week South Gippsland Hospital launched its end of financial year Annual Appeal to raise funds for patient care and amenities, equipment and preventative healthcare programs. Through the generosity of the community the hospital is able to provide ‘the best of care, close to home’.

It takes a team to provide this from doctors, nurses, catering, cleaning and maintenance staff who are all committed to giving our community the very best. Each year they touch the lives of hundreds of people who are experiencing ill health through injury or disease, the joy of giving birth or sadly, facing the end of their life. Whatever the circumstances that bring them here; they know how important it is to have as many services as the hospital can close to where they live and surrounded by loved ones.

For a small rural hospital it is fortunate to have great local doctors, visiting surgeons and specialists, highly trained specialist nurses, allied health providers and modern equipment. However, being able to attract and keep the best people and keep up with the latest technology is often only made possible with the community’s support.

As we near the end of the financial year, please consider making a tax deductible donation to our work through this, our Annual Appeal. Your gift is really important because it offers immediate resources that we can direct to the growing needs and services at the hospital for the community.

You can make a gift with the envelope provided in this edition, online at southgippslandhospital.org.au/donate or by calling 03 5683 9777

Our team of doctors, nurses, allied health providers and support staff join me in thanking you for your generous partnership and support.
