Farmers Markets

Christmas and holidays will be here for a lot of us before we know it.  This week’s market gives you an opportunity to fill your festive table with a spread showcasing some of this area’s finest produce.  As always, if you haven’t pre ordered, make sure you are at the market nice and early to get the best choice. Fresh produce like meat, fish and baked goods can be frozen and brought out just in time for your event.

You’ve still got time to put in some summer veggies – they won’t be subject to frost and with the days being consistently warmer, they’ll establish themselves very quickly.

We’ve welcomed two new producers in the past couple of months.  Wintersun Walnuts and Barany Naturals are from the Leongatha area.  Barany Naturals offer a range of high quality soaps and cleaning products with minimal packaging.  Be sure to call past both stalls for a chat.

There’s a change in the guard coming to the Foster Primary School stall, with Lian, Shannon, Brenda, Bec, and their helpers hanging up their aprons after consistent service and much delicious food prepared for market patrons and stall holders.  Thanks so much ladies for your quality offering for the past few years. Make sure you pop in for a dahl this Saturday!  Foster Primary School will still maintain a stall in the future, but it will be run on a rotating roster of helpers, and probably a more simplified menu.

Special Summer Market…

Every few years there is a 5th Saturday in December and no Farmers Markets scheduled.  This year is one of them, so we’ll be taking up the opportunity to run a market on Saturday December 30.
