50 YEARS IN BUSINESS

• L/R  Jason, Tania, Helen, Eddie and Stacey.  Absent Ricky.

On Friday night, friends, business associates and locals got together at the Welshpool Hotel to help Eddie and Helen Fowler celebrate 50 Years in business.  Eddie and Helen and two kids arrived in June 1974 to take over the Corner Service Station from the Stoitse family.    Eddie and Helen  ran the Service Station and Garage business on the corner of Main Street and Woorarra Road for nearly 37 years, during that time added two more children to the family.  During that time Eddie and Helen had been active members of the Welshpool Community.

They moved up the street to Welshpool Outdoors and into business with their daughter, Tania, and have remained there ever since, for another 13 years.  They have four children, Tania, Jason, Ricky and Stacey, all of whom have worked with their mother and father in the business at one time or another, Tania and Stacey continue to work at Welshpool Outdoors. Jason and Ricky are living and working in W.A.  The Fowler family have been a real asset since coming to Welshpool, their commitment to the town and surrounding district has been enormous.

Eddie and Helen will be taking a little time away from the business to travel, and have a well earned rest.
