Pink Up Your Town (for Breast Cancer)

Hi Foster Community,

My name is Tracy Bevan and I’m the McGrath Foundation Ambassador & Director, but my favourite title is Jane McGrath’s best friend.

Jane and I started the McGrath Foundation together in 2005 and since then, we’ve seen unprecedented support from caring communities across Australia. Towns like yours that are dedicated to helping more people experiencing breast cancer access the expert care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

Each October, towns across Australia embrace all things pink. From pink shops to pink schools, communities pink up their town in a nationwide display of support for families experiencing breast cancer. And we would love for Foster to join us this year with the help of the Foster Community!

There are currently 223 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, providing free care and support for families when they need it most, including two nurses supporting the Foster area. But there is still so much more we need to do to reach our mission of ensuring no one misses out on the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

We would love for Foster to join us in pink and raise funds this October to help ensure no one misses out on care. By pinking up your town, you can raise breast cancer awareness and show support for families in your community experiencing breast cancer.

Pinking up your town is a fabulous way to engage your local businesses and give them a platform to give back to their community. Learn more about how Gai Hawthorn, CEO of Penrith CBD Corporation, involves the local businesses in Pink Up Penrith here.

Ambassador & Director
