THIS Saturday the Pearl Park precinct in Foster will be transformed into the Pearl Park Music Festival and is promising something for everyone. Just a short stroll from the many cafes, take away shops and other retail outlets in the main street, it is an ideal time to spend the day in town. Together with a market and a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the day, It will be a celebration of Foster’s rich and long musical history.
Main Street will be closed from the Victory Avenue roundabout to the rear carpark entrance adjacent to the museum from 7am until 11pm. This section of road will feature an eclectic variety of market stalls and food, including massage and face painting throughout the day. There will also be a bar at the rotunda operating from midday.
Starting at 10am with Tai Chi outside the museum and hosted by Tai Chi Masters Andy and Karen from Prom Coast Martial Arts Club, this is a great way to start the day. Running concurrently is a story reading workshop for young children with Margie Haycroft outside the library and Manna Gum Sustainable Food Workshop for older children under the big tree at the eastern end of Pearl Park.
