Our coast is changing. How should we manage this change?

South Gippsland Shire

The South Gippsland Coastal Strategy project is a proactive step to prepare our coast for future challenges.

Our coast is a beautiful natural asset – highly valued by our local community and the many visitors it attracts. Our prized asset is constantly under threat due to a range of issues. Council has identified possible options to manage these issues for the future as part of the Overview and Background Paper.

Council is seeking community input in response to the Overview and Background Paper. Input from the community consultation will inform the preparation of the Draft Strategy that will be available later in 2020. Submissions must be received by 5.00pm 28 February 2020 and can be made via the forum or survey.
