SATURDAY, May 13 is your chance to have a closer look at how the Toora CFA works. An open day will be held from 10am – 1.00pm to find out more about what fire brigades do for your local community.
Everyone is invited to meet and chat to your local firefighters and other CFA members, and check out the station and the fire trucks.
Brigade members will be available to answer any question you may have, including becoming a member.
South Gippsland Shire Mayor and Toora member Ray Argento will demonstrate the correct use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets in the home.
You can also have a go at bowling out a fire hose.
Local police and ambulance officers have been invited to be present on the day.
Why not bring your family, enjoy a sausage sizzle from the Toora Lions, for a gold coin donation, and have a look at the facilities and then go off and support Toora at home in the football and netball.
