Night of awards for Fish Creek & District CFA

THERE were multiple celebrations at the recent Fish Creek & District Fire Brigade dinner.

The captain of Fish Creek & District CFA, Mick Dorling, was presented with the CFA Outstanding Service Award by CFA Deputy Chief Officer Joe Buffone. Several brigade members were presented with awards for the many years of service they have given to the brigade, while the ladies auxiliary celebrated 40 years of service with past and present members.

Over the years the ladies have contributed enormously with fundraising activities including catering and raffles. The brigade has used these funds to improve the station, meeting room and kitchen. The auxiliary members have also ensured that food and refreshments have been available to brigade members attending incidents at any time of the day or night. The brigade acknowledges and appreciates the tireless work that the ladies auxiliary members have given to the brigade over the past 40 years.
