Manna Gum Community House benefits from 25th Birthday

IN celebration of 25 years working for our community, the staff at our branches have been invited to allocate funding to a local organisation of their choosing. Rachael Francis one of our expert Branch Team has selected the Manna Gum Community House (MGCH) for the June birthday celebration gift.

The Community Bank has supported the MGCH multiple times over the years, from a pamper day for rural women, foodbank storage, to funding community programs like the Hub at Toora and the Our Place youth group at Foster. Our Community Bank also provided funding to strengthen MGCH staff resources for their Emergency Relief service.

MGCH also acts as an auspice for multiple organisations like the Pearl Park Music Festival and Toora Youth Group, enabling funding from the Community Bank. The Birthday funds will be used towards the upcoming Art Cubes program at Foster. As an integral part of our community MGCH touches all sectors of our demographic and we are proud to partner with them to enable these important programs.

Rebecca Matthews, Manager of MGCH said “We are very grateful to be selected to receive a donation in celebration of this 25-year milestone. It will support our landscaping project for the front yard, as we make improvements in preparation for the art cubes arriving in October.”

Chair of the Community Bank Toora & Foster, Jan Bull said “Our commitment to ensuring a physical presence in our community is enduring. Coupled with our significant and ongoing investment services, we aim to be there for our customers and support our communities for many generations to come.”

In addition to being an important source of revenue, Community Bank enterprises provide local people with award-winning banking services and employment opportunities through their partnership with Bendigo Bank.
