The District Nursing Service is operated by South Gippsland Hospital’s Community Health Centre, and provides qualified nursing care in the home environment. Â It assists people in maintaining or improving their health status while at home, and provides encouragement, support and advice for carers and/or family.
The service provides home nursing for patients needing follow-up care after discharge from hospital, chronic health problems, palliative care and education.
It is available to all residents of the Prom Coast area and operates from 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 12 noon Saturday and Sunday.
