If you are a woman aged 50-69, then now is the time to book an appointment with Breastscreen Victoria’s mobile screening service, which will be in Foster from September 16 to October 11.
A breast screening mammogram is recommended every two years for women in this age group, as it is the best way to detect breast cancer early, before symptoms are noticed and when treatment is likely to be most successful.
