Boat ramp locations

  • Port Welshpool – 24 hour water access, all tides.  A tide board is situated on Fisherman’s Jetty.  3-lane ramp, holding jetty.
  • Toora Beach – Water access restricted by tidal movement to 45 minutes either side of high tide.  Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.
  • Yanakie beach – Water access restricted by tidal movement to 30 minutes either side of high tide.
  • Foster – Access restricted by tide.  Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.  Local knowledge required.
  • Port Albert – Tow land boat launching ramp with boarding jetty/s.  Adjacent sealed car/railer park, boat wash down, fish cleaning, toilets.
  • Manns Beach – Small access ramp to beach.  Over beach launching only.
  • McLoughlin’s Beach – Two lane ramp wth alongside boarding jetty (one side only).  Adjacent unsealed car/trailer park
  • Inverloch – Launching all tides.  Tide board located on adjacent jetty.
  • Maher’s Landing – Launching tide affected.  Recommended for smaller craft only.
  • Walkerville North and South – Launching for small boats.  Local knowledge required.
  • Venus Bay – Water restricted by tidal movement.  A shall channel that can only be navigated by shallow drafted, suitably designed vessels during favourable tide conditions
  • Tarwin River – River access.  Tidal constraints,  Suitable for shallow drafted vessels only.
  • Shallow Inlet – Sand access and tide affected.  For small and large craft into Shallow Inlet
  • Sandy Point – Sandy access for launching.  Tide affected.
