Alberton league clubs could have a new league to play in next year?

AFL Victoria has told the clubs in the Alberton Football Netball League they can join theWest Gippsland Football Netball Competition next year. 

That depends on the Alberton clubs withdrawing their appeals to join the Ellinbank & District Football League. They have until this Friday to withdraw their appeal.

The Mirror believes only Stony Creek at this stage are not sure about whether they want to withdraw their appeal or not.

A decision could be known fairly quickly one way or another as to whether West Gippsland will accept the remaining AFNL clubs in 2020.The never ending saga just seems to keep going
