Gardenfarm in South Gippsland is looking for a person or couple to come and live on the farm, while working part time as maintenance crew for our tinyhouse guest accommodation.
The farm has 4 tinyhouses, which are booked out most days of the month, by people wanting to get away from city life for a night or two, and bliss out in undisturbed nature. You can expect to earn several hundred dollars per week for a few hours per day.The rest of the time you can do your own part time work, grow vegetables, go bushwalking or horseriding, whatever lights you up. Gardenfarm is a working farm with integrated orchards, wetlands, vegetable gardens, wending river, sheep, cows, geese, and a lovely border collie.
The cabin you will be staying in is under renovation, so until then you’ll be living in a well-equipped caravan for a small rental fee, surrounded by your own private vegetable garden. If you have your own mobile home, its perfect. The friendly town of Yarram is a 20 minute drive away. The internet is good, but not fast, so its the place to enjoy a low-tech life.
We are looking for pro-active, positive, people, with a well-developed sense of curiosity, and sense of humour, as farm life unfolds in its unpredictable ways. You will have your own car, your own interests, be over 26 years of age, good at physical work.
Contact Bob with your profile, your questions, and a few words on why you’d like to come and take on this role, and why you’d be good at it.
