Foster CFA & Bendigo Bank insurance information day

Kaylene Jones Foster CFA and Sharon Demaria CRM at Bendigo Bank.

THE local community has a great opportunity to come and talk to our local Fire Brigade Members and Bendigo Branch Team on Thursday 17th August at the Foster IGA supermarket from 10.00am to 2.00 pm.

A huge thank you to the Foster IGA who has also facilitated that you can donate your IGA points to the Foster Fire Brigade if you wish.

Foster Brigade members will only be too happy to talk to the community about their Home Fire Safety, their smoke detectors, the predicted forth-coming Fire Season, or maybe we could talk to the community about being a volunteer in the CFA.

The Community Bank® Team will be available to talk to you about all of your insurance requirements and are happy to organise comparison quotes.

As we enter into the depths of winter, and we start lighting our fires and using the clothes dryer is it pertinent to think of the safety measures needed prior to using something that hasn’t been used for a while.

Did you change the smoke alarm battery when daylight savings stopped? Do you regularly clean the dryer filters? When was the last time you have the flu cleaned?

There are many resources and checklists available at http://www.cfa.vic.gov.au to help you navigate your family’s safety.

You may have other fire related issues that they may wish to discuss, and Brigade Members will only be too happy to answer these.

“We are very pleased to be able to join forces with the local CFA to help local families ensure they are prepared for the coming cooler months” said Kate Whittingham, Customer Service Officer at the Local Bendigo Bank.

“Many Australian families are under-insured, and unfortunately insurance is something we don’t really think of till needed.” Kate said
