Location: Coal Creek Heritage Village | Category: Festival

Understanding a sustainable environment is a challenging concept for many businesses and the community. The aim of this event is to explore the vast range of ideas and concepts that surround living within a sustainable environment.

The event will feature a range of see, listen and do activities for adult and children to participate.

Local businesses are invited to showcase innovative products and services that are value adding to the community and can enhance the way we live and feel.

Food holders will showcase locally grown produce, preserves and herbs, providing people with the opportunity to taste and see the quality and range of boutique foods South Gippsland has on offer and what individuals can achieve in their own backyard.

Demonstration will be held on alternative farming techniques, including soil care, water preserving and dealing with climate change.

Health and life style education will be carried out through cooking demonstration, gardening, recreational activities and hand crafts that teach people about the basics of life and promote a hands on approach.

Coal Creek Village has a large collection of artefacts housed in the many heritage buildings in a village like setting surrounded by 20 acres of natural bush. Within the facilities will be demonstrations, display, exhibitions from businesses and groups showcasing local food and innovative goods and services.
