Want your home to be more energy efficient?

If you are concerned about your rising electricity costs, and wish to understand your electric appliance usage in the home, enjoy a cuppa and learn about energy efficiency at our FREE Home Energy Saver Workshop, where you will learn about:

• Key energy using areas and appliances: Cooling, Heating, Hot water and Refrigeration
• Measuring/calculating energy use of home appliances
• How to save energy and money

Brad Kijlstra-Shone from the Home Energy Saver Scheme (HESS) is giving a 1-½ hour presentation on the above at the home of Rhonda Bland. Brad will also speak about what is available under HES Scheme, including over-the-phone advice and the possibility of a one-on-one home energy visit.

Also … If there is enough interest, a second presentation can be arranged to cover more on your rising energy bills with information on:

• Energy costs and reading your bills
• Affordability, payment options, grants & retailer hardship programs
• Energy myths busted!

One needs to know if there enough interest to form a sustainability group in our local area (Fish Creek, Foster, Toora) to support each other and demonstrate some aspects of sustainability through varying presentations for the public, walks, get togethers etc.
