Foster Community Association works in the community – with the community and for the community.

Everyone is welcome!

If you have a great idea for the progress of our community, an issue that you don’t know how to resolve, a problem that needs attention – or if you would like to work with us to help make Foster a better place to live, work and play, then please feel welcome to attend our meetings.

Some of our successful outcomes include:

• The creation of a children’s playground at the Showgrounds
• The wonderfully successful monthly Farmers’ Market
• A staffed Visitor Information Centre + free internet access
• Footpaths extended to the Hospital and Rail Trail
• Footpaths upgraded to provide disability access
• Speed limit in town reduced from 60 to 50 kph
• Expanded network of walking, cycling and riding tracks around Foster
• Bridge over Stockyard Creek rebuilt
• Longer Library hours
• … and more

We have many new projects underway, including:

• Smartening up the shabby Foster North Lookout
• Creating Foster Station Park on the old railway station land
• Reducing heavy traffic in Main Street
• Rejuvenating Foster’s streetscape
• Installing lights on Stockyard Creek Bridge, and
• Beautifying Stockyard Creek to make it a central feature of the town.
