Film Society: Animal Kingdom

Friday 4 March 2011
8:00pm - 10:30pm

Location: Fish Creek Hall | Category: Cinema

Foster Amateur Music and Drama Association’s  newly-formed Prom Coast Film Society is excited to offer its first film for the 2011 season, to be shown at the Fish Creek Hall on Friday 4 March at 8pm.

The first film screening is ‘Animal Kingdom’.

‘Animal Kingdom’ portrays the lives of an Australian crime family, led by the matriarchal mother ‘Smurf’ (Jacki Weaver) in a performance which earned an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actress at the 2011 Academy Awards to be presented late in February.

Jacki Weaver is joined by an all star Australian cast including Ben Mendelsohn, Guy Pearce, Dan Wyllie & Joel Edgerton.

There will be no charge for the first film, however subscriptions will be available on the night.

Rules governing Victorian Film Societies allow only subscriptions, rather than charging for individual films, so the Prom Coast Film Society will be offering annual ($75) and three month ($28) membership subscriptions.

To add to the social atmosphere Windy Ridge Winery will have wine by the glass to purchase and supper will be available after the screening.
