For some years Kate has been writing Australian nautical history. She won the Mountbatten Maritime Award 2009 for Alan Villers: Voyage of The Winds and the Western Australian Premier’s Award (non-fiction) 2004 for Redbill: From Pearls to Peace. Now Kate has released her first novel, The Turning Tide, set in Foster, Wilsons Prom, Broome and Timor, from the 1940s to the ‘80s.
Come at 2.30 for afternoon tea, then at 3.00 we’ll begin a conversation with Kate.
