Please join us for the official opening of award winning author, illustrator and Children’s Laureate, Alison Lester’s artwork from the book Are We There Yet?

This touring exhibition runs from 10am to 4pm until May 6.

About the Exhibition

Alison Lester’s book ‘Are We There Yet?’ tells the story of her family’s journey around Australia in a camper van. This great adventure captures the essence of the country – the cities and the countryside; the European settlements and the special places of the First Australian.

The Are We There Yet? touring exhibition shows both the original illustrations as well as preliminary and developmental stages in the making of the book – from Alison’s children’s actual travel diaries, through text, illustration and design drafts, to the final published book – including a number of folios of developmental drawings.
