Community Focused Workshop

The GCCN invites you to attend this workshop with other community, government and technical leaders to help explore the potential opportunities, needs and barriers for community renewable energy projects in Gippsland.

Working with CSIRO, GCCN will deliver a facilitated workshop targeted at community members and organisations within Gippsland to provide information on and assess the appetite for renewable energy, energy efficiency, demand management and smart-grid projects within the region. This workshop will be the first in a series that will build off community interest in pursuing community based renewable energy opportunities driven by groups such as the Energy Innovation Coop and Heyfield Community Resource Centre.

This workshop is an opportunity to share, discuss and develop ideas with a range of interested stakeholders. Attendees will include relevant community groups (sustainability groups, transition towns, neighbourhood houses), community organisations, potential investors, relevant State & Local Government bodies that could participate or assist in this, and those with specific knowledge in the renewables or energy sector at the community level, and local education and training providers.
