THE Foster Cemetery Trust has extended the stonework memorial wall at the cemetery in Hoddle Road, adding a further 64 places for cremated remains to the existing and now full 32 places.

Foster builder Alan Rudge prepared the foundations before Foster bricklayer Peter Dight used stones from Foster gravel and garden supplier Tony Williams Pty Ltd to triple the original wall, located in the lawn section of the cemetery.

South Gippsland Concrete of Welshpool installed the slate-finish apron surrounding the wall, complementing the colours and textures of the structure.

Blank bronze plates currently cover each place, to be replaced by individual memorial plaques as required.
