Prom Coast Festival 2019

IT seems like only yesterday the Committee for the Prom Coast Seachange Festival had laid out a mammoth feast of events for the Festival in 2017.  And yet that’s 12 months ago and now the Committee is in the process of organizing the festival for 2019.

The date for the 2019 Prom Coast Festival is the weekend of March 16 and 17.  You’ll notice the name of the festival has changed, the Committee thought it was time to drop the ‘Seachange’ part and focus on the local community.  For next year the Prom Coast Festival will showcase the many talents and the varied produce of the South Gippsland area, and the Committee is hoping there will be organised events in the wonderful community halls in the area.

If your school or organisation is interested in holding an event to be part of the Prom Coast Festival over the weekend of March 16 and 17 in 2019 go to the website www.promcoastfestival.org and click on the ‘contact’ button.

As a warmer-upper for next year’s Festival, we are proud and delighted to present ‘Slava Grigoryan in Prom Country’ again, this time with his wonderfully talented wife Sharon on cello. This collaboration from two of Australia’s finest classical musicians combines their formidable talents to present a concert for guitar and cello with works by Vivaldi, Granados, Piazzolla and more.

This event is on Friday May 25, 2018 at 7.30pm at St John’s Catholic Church, O’Connell Street, Foster.  Tickets go on sale from Monday, April 23 2018 and can be booked on line at www.promcoastfestival.org they are priced at $45, $40 and $25. Be quick they sell out fast.
