Improved public computer/internet at Toora

TOORA’S public access internet computer has a new flat screen monitor, a new desk, a new office chair and a new location that is open extra hours!

For anyone without a computer and internet access at home, it is now possible to hire the public facility which is freshly located at Toora’s IGA Supermarket, making the service accessible weekdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturdays from 8.30am to 2.00pm and Sundays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

The charges for usage are $5 per hour ($3 concession rate) or $2 per quarter hour if just a short session is required.

The facility will also be handy for travellers.

Alice Foster of Toora Progress Association is the official ‘Public Internet Access Program’ coordinator for Toora.

Thrilled that the upgraded facility is now available, Alice paid credit to Rachel Brown for establishing and maintaining the original service and thanked Julie Promm of Toora IGA for making the new venue possible.

Alice commented that the new desk and leather chair, chosen with user privacy and comfort in mind, was purchased from Retravision in Yarram in order to patronise a local business.

“With the generous trading hours of the Toora Supermarket, computer users will find easy opportunity to pop on the internet and deal with their needs,” Alice prophesised.
