Foster Show promotion gearing up

AT THE last meeting of Foster Agricultural Society before details have to be in place for printing of Foster Show Schedule, Darren Lomax was unanimously voted in as Assistant Show Secretary with special additional responsibilities for occupational health and safety matters after he offered his services.

The new Show Secretary, Rhonda Bland obtained confirmation and agreement from the Committee for a number of new and returning events and attractions, details for which will be publicised in the months running up to Show day on Saturday 26 February.

To promote the Show, signs and postcards will be displayed to visitors over the Melbourne Cup Weekend in an effort to entice extra numbers to return for the show weekend.

Other new publicity for the Show includes event listing on Foster community’s new web site at www.foster.vic.au and the Show President/Treasurer couple Noel and Amanda Afflitto distributing show postcards at Pakenham’s ‘Go Country’ farming, lifestyle and outdoors event following Noel and Amanda successfully dispersing several hundred postcards at Royal Melbourne Show.

Show Secretary/Committee contact details, which are intended to remain the same for the foreseeable years regardless of which person is in the role or “on duty” are:

  • Telephone number – 0457 316 497
  • Email address – [email protected]
  • Web site – www.fostershow.wordpress.com; and
