THE Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, has announced a federal election for Saturday August 21.
The Corner Inlet area is in the electorate of McMillan, currently held by the Liberal Party by a margin of 4.8 percent. The sitting member is Russell Broadbent. He will be recontesting the seat. The other declared candidates are: Christine Maxfield for the Australian Labor Party and Malcolm McKelvie for the Greens.
Voting is compulsory.
