Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve well worth a visit!

Visitors and locals alike will enjoy an outing to the Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve, approx. 10 kms north of Toora and Welshpool.

Easily accessed from the South Gippsland Highway at Toora drive up Silcocks Hill Road and stop off at the Silcocks Hill Lookout for a wonderful view overlooking the township of Toora and across Corner Inlet towards the Prom.

From there continue up the hill and stop off at the Toora Windfarm and take a closer look at the majestic wind turbine towers before continuing easterly onto Hazel Park Road.

A few further kilometres drive takes you through green farmland with occasional glimpses of the hills and coastal areas, before the turnoff southward onto the Agnes River Road, then west on the Agnes Falls Road, finally arriving at the carpark and picnic ground.

A short stroll through the grounds along the river, or on the walking track just off the carpark, will take you to the two lookout points overseeing this 59 metre high waterfall, particularly spectacular after rain.

Information boards are found on the way.

On leaving you can take the Hazel Park Road further eastwards, joining up withthe Midland Highway southeard to WElshpool, or via Slades Hill Road, to bring you back to the South Gippsland Highway. Port Welshpool is also worth a visit before returning to your home destination, or the Franklin River Reserve if going back to Foster.
